也许是从小就向往高原和雪山的缘故,第一次见到刘时,我就喜欢上了他。我和刘是在广西北海市相识的。那是1996年,我在北海某珍珠公司打工,而刘是来北海旅游。那天,刘和朋友到珍珠公司来选购珍珠项链,刚好是我当班,我就领着刘和他的朋友在我们公司转了一圈。并做他们购买项链的向导。于是,我得知刘来自神秘又美丽的西藏阿里,见我对西藏怀有浓厚的兴趣,刘就向我描绘西藏的高原和雪地,还有西藏的羚羊。刘的描绘令我十分惊喜。临走前,刘邀请我有时间去西藏玩儿,我十分愉快地接受了邀请。刘的朋友便打趣说,阿静干脆你嫁到阿里去,刘是个单身,你们结婚好了。

I was very surprised by Liu’s portrayal. Before I left, Liu invited me to have time to go to Tibet to play, and I accepted the invitation very happily. Liu’s friends jokingly say, Ah Jing simply marry you to Ali, Liu is a single, you get married.
