很早便听闻《中国的西北角》一书,对范长江也是仰慕已久,“长江新闻奖”更是吾辈新闻人毕生追求之荣耀,但真正读此书,是前段时间才有的念头。这念头带我走进范先生这段追求真相、追寻希望的西北之旅,感范先生之忧国忧民,敬范先生之新闻精神,品范先生之西北画卷,感悟颇多,在此一一道来。西北乃各派必争之地范先生开篇便指出此次西行之目的 :一为研究红军北上以后中国的动向,二为力图比较深入地了解即将成为抗战大后方的中国西北地区的历史和现状。他直言:“记者以为中国人必须根本认定,日本侵略的主要目的是我们中国,其防苏只是达到这一目的的手段。日本之攻略西北,不是借地防赤,也不是简单的领土扩张,而是一种非常狠辣的对话军事大策略的实施。”
