有经济学家认为,目前国内发育得最好的市场,当属农贸市场。初夏,头藤瓜上市,每斤在6角左右,“中产阶级”可以酌量享用。6月下旬,京欣一号大面积成熟,瓜市一路暴跌,至7月中旬更是跌破2角大关,此时的西瓜成了北京普通市民防暑降温的主要物品。一入秋,西瓜价格开始回升,往后又成了“有产阶级”在饭馆用餐后免费享受的果品之一。
