The MK92, used to control missiles and artillery, is a new, integrated, highly reliable and lightweight fire control system for the U.S. Navy. This system, produced for various types of ships such as the FFG and PHM, meets the requirements of modern marine warfare for automatic detection. Enemy data detected by the search radar is displayed on the operator console at a high rate. The console is a highly integrated human-machine interface device. The MK92 uses single pulse and “edge-search-edge-tracking” technology to track multiple targets simultaneously. The system’s console has self-contained command and control capabilities. In addition, the standard digital computer channels, through the multi-purpose interface with the ship’s command and control phase, constitute a complete working procedure. The MK92 system uses an error cancellation technique to achieve high accuracy even under harsh external conditions. Less staffing is required for operation and maintenance and is an important feature of the county’s multi-purpose system.
