中学生代表着祖国的未来,民族的希望,肩负着实现中华民族伟大复兴的历史重任之一,他们的人生态度价值取向和各方面的道德素质,直接影响今后整个社会的精神状况和面貌,要想提高中学生各方面的道德素质水平必须具备高尚道德品质的教师队伍,提高思想政治教师素质是保证素质教育目标实现的前提条件之一。学生的思想品德、科学文化、身体心理等方面素质的提高,必须建立在教师素质提高的基础上,尤其是在社会迅猛发展的今天,知识陈旧率很高,这就更应在教育行为中培养学生自身发展的能力,既要向他们传授一定的知识,又要教会他们学习,教会他们做人,培养他们不断索取新知识新技能的能力,让他们真正掌握终身受益的学习本领。唯有如此,才能培养出有创新能力的人,而这一切都有赖于教师素质的提高。
