1985年6月23日—26日在美国内华达州拉斯维加斯举行了第22届国际自动化会议(DAC 85)。这个会是由美国计算机协会(ACM),设计自动化组、电气和电子工程师学会(IEEE)计算机学会设计自动化技术委员会共同举办的,得到许多公司的支持。参加这次会议者超过了3800人。会议期间,该市还专门为这个会议出版了日报。在开幕当天的报纸第一版登了本届会议三篇最优秀论文作者受奖的大幅照片,其中就有我国的访美学者沙露同志。她与R.W.Dutton教授合作的论文,“对任意大小长方形块布局的分析算法”,获得大会最优秀论文奖。
The 22nd International Conference on Automation (DAC 85) was held June 23-26, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. This conference was co-organized by the American Computer Society (ACM), Design Automation Group, Institute of Design Automation Technology of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), with the support of many companies. More than 3,800 people attended the conference. During the meeting, the city also published a daily newspaper for the conference. The first edition of the newspaper on the opening day featured a large number of photographs of the recipients of the three best papers at this session, including Comrade Shalu, our visiting scholar in the United States. Her paper, co-authored with Professor R. W. Dutton, “Analytical Algorithms for Layout of Rectangular Blocks of Any Size,” won the Best Paper Award in the General Assembly.
