北京十一学校原为中央军委子弟学校,在周恩来等老一辈革命家的亲切关怀下,由中央军委于1952年创办,为纪念新中国的诞生而命名。十一学校是北京市独一无二的一所拥有两面“金帆”的学校,即金帆合唱团和金帆交响乐团。学校的目标是建立一支拥有各种艺术形式的艺术团队,不断拓展校园文化,为学生们创造一个广阔的艺术天地。金帆交响乐团由近百名学生组成,20多年来,乐团在市、区领导的亲切关怀下,在专家们的悉心指导下,演奏水平不断提高。乐团排演了海顿、贝多芬、莫扎特、施特劳斯、帕格尼尼、柏辽兹、比才和一些现代作曲家的作品,同时还排演了具有民族特色的中国作品,如《良宵》《二泉映月》《金蛇狂舞》《火把节》和小提琴协奏曲《梁山伯与祝英台》等。
The 11 schools of the former Beijing Military Academy were schools of the Central Military Commission. They were founded by the Central Military Commission in 1952 under the cordial concern of Zhou Enlai and other elders of the revolution. They were named after the birth of New China. The 11th School is a unique school in Beijing with “Jinfan” on both sides, namely the Jinfan Choir and the Jinfan Symphony Orchestra. The goal of the school is to establish an art team with various art forms and constantly expand campus culture to create a vast art world for students. The Jinfan Symphony Orchestra consists of nearly a hundred students. Over the past 20 years, with the cordial care of the leaders of the city and district, the orchestra has continuously improved its performance level with the guidance of experts. The orchestra rehearses the works of Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Paganini, Berlioz, Beatty and some modern composers, as well as rehearsing Chinese works with national characteristics such as “Good Night” and “ Er Quan Ying Yue ”“ Golden Snake Dance ”“ Torch Festival ”and violin concerto“ Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai ”and so on.
