应英国伦敦皇家学会和杜伦大学D.Hutton博士的邀请,洪大卫(地科院矿床所)、郑基俭(湖南省区调队)、周良忠(江西省区调队)等一行三人,于1988年5月8日至6月20日访问了英国和爱尔兰共和国。在D.Hutton博士等人陪同下,中国地质学家先后考察了苏格兰Striontian、Ardnamurchan及爱尔兰Donegal、Ox山脉等花岗岩体。同时,还访问了伦敦皇家学会,英国地质调查所、杜伦大学和都柏林大学,并会见了著名学者W.S.Pitcher和H.Holland教授、J.Cobbing博士及其他英国朋友。
At the invitation of the Royal Society of London and the Honorable Dr. D. Hutton of Durham University, a three-person delegation of Hung David (Institute of Mineral Deposits of Hong Kong), Zheng Jijian (Hunan Province Regulating Team) and Zhou Liangzhong (Regulatory Team of Jiangxi Province) From May 8 to June 20, she visited the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Accompanied by Dr. D. Hutton and others, Chinese geologists inspected the granite bodies of Striontian, Ardnamurchan in Scotland and Donegal in Ireland. At the same time, they also visited the Royal Society of London, the British Geological Survey, Durham University and Dublin University and met with renowned scholars W.S. Pitcher and H. Holland, Dr. J. Oban and other British friends.
