了禅大师素描:释了禅,俗姓姚,名砚生,字石清,别署山僧。祖籍吉林长春,1967年生于辽宁,锦州,毕业于湖南师范大学及解放军南京政治学院,本科学历。系已故著名美术教育家刘海粟先生入室弟子。曾任广西灵川画院院长,广西青年画院副院长,桂林青年美术家协会主席等。2005年礼当代高僧,上如下一老和尚座下皈依佛门,师赐法名宗盛,字净善,号了禅。
