Worm drive deformation theory and experimental research belong to the typical three-dimensional contact problem of complex space and surface. For the first time, the authors tested the contact stress of worm drive using the sensing test technology of implantable three-dimensional strain wire. The article also introduces the test device, the manufacture and casting of three-dimensional strain test unit. The experimental results are in good agreement with the numerical results
