在传统的信息交流过程中,图书馆在出版机构和读者用户之间扮演着重要的中介角色,不论是在资金流还是在信息流的传递过程中,图书馆的中介作用都是无可替代的。但是新时期网络技术的发展使得广大读者可以通过因特网免费阅读部分网络资源,这就极大地弱化了图书馆的作用,使其似乎处于可有可无的地位,正因为如此,图书馆应加大开放性建设的力度,对于高校图书馆而言也不例外,本文就此进行论述。
