ELISA method was used to detect antisperm antibodies in cervix mucus. Out of 400 women whose husbands had sperms, 92 were antisperm antibody positive (23% ). 42 of 200 women with azoospermic partners were antisperm antibody positive (21% ). No difference was found between the two groups. Hence, antisperm antibodies in azoospermic men’s wives may be caused by sperm’sadhering antigens in semina.
