The International Iron and Steel Association announced on March 10 that it will hold its second annual steel industry safety day event. The Steel Industry Safety Day was established in 2014 to enhance the steel industry’s understanding of the causes of the five common safety accidents and to enhance the safety of the working environment throughout the steel industry worldwide. Edwin Basson, Director General of the International Iron and Steel Institute, said: ”The ultimate goal of the steel industry is to create a zero-accident work environment that is harmless, disease free and healthy and for this reason we set up the Steel Industry Safety Day in 2014, And I am happy to make this event an annual, industrial activity
