至１９９６年底止，安徽省卫生防疫站放射性本底实验室检测了安徽省１８８份矿泉水样品中的总β放射性和２２６Ｒａ浓度。全部样品中两者都符合ＧＢ８５３７—１９９５。由２２６Ｒａ浓度估算的所致居民内照射剂量在０．０１ｍＳｖ左右。因此，饮用天然矿泉水是安全的。
By the end of 1996, the radioactive background laboratory of Anhui Provincial Health and Anti-Epidemic Station detected the total β-radioactivity and the concentration of 226Ra in 188 samples of mineral water in Anhui Province. Both samples comply with GB8537-1995. Estimated by the concentration of 226Ra inhalation caused by residents within the dose of about 0.01mSv. Therefore, drinking natural mineral water is safe.
