长期以来,在英语教学中,英语教育者采用传统教学模式:教师是教学的中心,教师讲授语言知识和语法结构,学生以掌握知识为主,机械地记忆大量的单词。这种教学在很大程度上忽略了学生口语能力的培养和提高,学生听不懂、讲不出、不具备综合应用英语的能力。以至于学生们学了多年英语却还不能熟练地运用英语顺畅地与外国人交流,针对这一局面,英语教育者一直在探索更适合于中国学生英语口语学习的新方法,运用语块理论便是其中一个比较新的教学途径,也是现代英语
