香红——是由中国农科院果树研究所育成的苹果优良晚熟品种,1973年命名,亲本为元帅×混有赤阳的混合花粉. 本品种果实较大,平均单果重160克,长圆锥形.全面暗红色,带有紫色色调,肉质松脆,汁液多,味浓甜,可溶性固形物15％左右,最高17％,品质极佳.成熟期10月上中旬,常温下可贮至翌年3月. 本品种在河南禹县进行了11年的观察研究,在供试的14个苹果品种中产量最高,七年平均亩产为4294.2公斤,超过对照品种国光2025.5公斤的一倍
