今年的4月21日,是素有“慈善伶王”之美誉的著名粤剧表演艺术家新马师曾(祥哥)逝世5周年纪念日,一个题为《追忆伶王》的专题慈善演出晚会于当晚在广州南方剧院顺利举行,受到欢迎。这一晚会由广东新天地艺术有限公司策划制作,提出此举的是广东粤剧院的知名演员邓志驹。邓从艺多年,既参与过舞台表演,又活跃于影视、音像的演出,曾由多家公司录制过上百首粤曲卡拉OK影碟,其中就包括了多首新马师曾的名曲,特别是由他主唱兼主演的一曲《万恶淫为首》更是广为流传,大受好评。他十分敬慕新马师曾,希望能在有纪念意义的日子里让广大粤剧观众重温伶王的风采,并有意延续伶王乐善好施、热心公益的精神,与社会各界共襄善举,故这个晚会作慈善性
