前言红色岩层在我国分布至广,治理与开发河流时,常选择红色岩层分布地区筑坝。已经完成的黄河综合利用规划技术经济报告,计划在黄河干流龙羊峡以下修建四十六座拦河坝,成为梯级,以根治黄河水害及开发黄河水利,其中部分坝址对象就选择在红色岩层分布地区。长江流域规划要点尚在搜集资料进行编制。宜昌以上干流第一期工程地段的选择对象有宜昌峡、猫儿峡、温塘峡及宜宾等处。宜昌峡选坝地段的岩石主要为石灰岩、页岩及花岗岩。但如选择宜昌峡出口附近为坝址对象,则坝的全部或部分基础须建筑
