自古以来,中国人看待宇宙与自然的态度即体现了这一区域文化的精神特征。因此,中国画分为山水、人物、花鸟三科,除了山水、人物之外的其他事物皆被归入了花鸟。故而,唐宋以来的花鸟画不但体现了包罗万象的特色,而且将国人看待造化的方式展示得一览无余。花鸟画在宋代登峰造极,而为后世画家顶礼膜拜。究其原因,不但是因为文人的思想、观念以及他们认知自然的方式在那时盛极一时,而且是因为宋代的哲学、宗教是真正将儒、释、道三家思想糅为一体的。人们虽然是描绘一花一叶,一鸟一虫,
