全国金融工作会议今天在北京召开。国务院副总理兼中国人民银行行长朱镕基主持会议并作了重要讲话。他说,这次全国金融工作会议是一次重要的会议、改革的会议。党中央、国务院对这次会议十分重视,全国人民也寄予殷切的希望。这次会议的宗旨是:肯定成绩,检讨缺点,整顿秩序,推进改革,扭转当前资金紧张的局面。朱镕基说,这次会议要坚决贯彻落实党中央、国务院关于当前经济工作的一系列重要决策,部署进一步整顿金融秩序,严肃金融纪律,推进金融改革和强化宏观调控的政策措施。朱镕基指出,邓小平同志发表重要谈话和党的十四大召开
