The CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s “Decision on Strengthening Staff Education” (Document No. 8 of 1981) is a very important document that fully reflects the party’s and the government’s deep concern for the broad masses of staff and workers and their high regard for staff education, and implements this Decision, to promote the four modernizations of great significance. The nature of our workforce in the building materials industry is good. However, as a result of the devastation brought about by the devastating catastrophe of 10 years, workers’ education has been relaxed. At present, the level of our contingent is not suited to the requirements of modernization. In terms of political thought, some workers lack a correct understanding of socialism and their thinking is not healthy enough.
