《生活》周刊系1925年10月10日由黄炎培创办于上海,初为中华职业教育社的机关刊物,以刊载职业教育信息等内容为主。1926年邹韬奋接办后,刊物逐渐演变为以反映和探讨社会问题为主要内容的综合性杂志。九一八事变前,《生活》周刊始终关注日本对中国侵略的问题,对日本侵华的原因、方式等作了深刻的剖析与揭露,并呼吁国人团结一致,抵御日本的侵略。《生活》周刊对日本侵华的分析、认识及其抵御主张,吸引了大批读者,为其赢得了声誉,奠定了九一八事变后《生活》周刊抗日救亡活动的舆论和群众基础。
“Life” magazine was founded on October 10, 1925 by Huang Yanpei in Shanghai. It was initially published as a government organ of China Vocational Education Press and published mainly vocational education information. After Zou Taofen took over in 1926, the publication gradually evolved into a comprehensive magazine with the main content of reflecting and exploring social issues. Before the September 18th Incident, Life magazine kept a close watch on Japan’s aggression against China, deeply analyzed and exposed the reasons and methods of Japan’s invasion of China, and called on people of the same country to stand united and resist Japan’s aggression. Life magazine’s analysis and understanding of Japan’s invasion of China and its resistance advocated attracting a large number of readers and won its reputation and laid the consensus and mass foundation for the anti-Japanese national salvation activities of Life Weekly after the September 18th Incident.
