据统计资料表明，60岁以上患便秘者明显增加，发病率高达15％至20％。造成老年人便秘的原因很多，如精神及心理因素、肠功能紊乱、饮食和运动因素、药物影响等。老年人尤其是慢性病长期用药者会发生便秘，那么就要考虑到药物因素，并应引起足够重视。一般来说，导致便秘的药物有以下几种：
