伦敦书展由英国工业贸易博览会于1971年开始创办,2006年是第36届,此次会展地点由以前的奥林匹克中心迁至在伦敦郊区新落成的多克兰展场。 2006年伦敦书展的主题是关注墨西哥图书文化。此次书展共设10个主题展区:小书商、一般图书、基督教图书、出版解决方案、艺术建筑与设计、旅游和地图、过期折扣图书、儿童青少年、学术与科技和英语教育、电子图书等。书展还设有国际版权洽谈中心、出版商协会咨询中心。期间,都向零售书商和团体读者群开放。
The London Book Fair was founded by the British Trade and Industry Fair in 1971 and was the 36th in 2006. It was relocated from a former Olympic Center to the newly completed Docklands in London’s suburbs. The theme of the 2006 London Book Fair is a focus on Mexican book culture. There are 10 themed exhibitions in this book fair: small booksellers, general books, Christian books, publishing solutions, art and architecture and design, travel and maps, discounted books, children and youth, academic and technology and English education, e-books, etc. . Book Fair also has an international copyright consultation center, publisher association counseling center. During the period, are open to retail booksellers and group readers.
