1952年,高小毕业的我在印刷厂做学徒工,三四年后,我辗转到阿房宫团委,成为一名宣传干事。1958年,我被下放到西安机床厂工会搞宣传,从那时起,给报社投稿、拍照片成了每天的工作。我到工厂下车间拍工人劳动竞赛,到农村田间地头拍农民播种秋收,那几年由于投稿量大、质量高几乎年年都被报社评为“优秀通讯员”。19 66年,“文化大革命”爆发,我经常利用业余时间参加西安市的重大活动,并为活动拍照留资料。“西安火车站毛泽东塑像落成仪式”这张照片是在火车站广场拍的,当时主席像周围人潮涌动,场面十分壮观。这是我站在火车站南面的解放饭店
In 1952, I graduated from high school as an apprentice in the printing plant, three or four years later, I was removed to the A League Youth League, to become an advocacy officer. In 1958, I was sent to Xi’an Machine Tool Works unions engage in publicity, since then, submitting papers to the newspaper, making photos become a daily job. I went to the factory to make a labor contest with the laborers in the workshop and shot the peasants in the rural fields to sow autumn crops. In those few years, the newspapers were rated as “excellent correspondents” due to the large volume of contributions and high quality. 1966, “Cultural Revolution ” broke out, I often use my spare time to participate in major events in Xi’an, and take pictures of the activities to stay information. “Xi’an Railway Station Mao Zedong statue inaugurated ” This picture was taken in the station square, when the chairman surging around the crowd, the scene is very spectacular. This is the Jiefang Hotel where I am standing south of the train station
