当前,我国很多地方都在着手智慧城市和物联网的应用项目研发,如环境污染、河流水质、森林火灾等检测项目,其他如药品、食品安全,各单位或特定场合的安全监控等等应用项目也很多。目前的情况是,各研发部门就项目的具体需求分别运用软件工程的方法独自进行开发,其中也用到一些软件工程的工具,如需求的描述、生成代码的各种级别的测试等。这些不同类型的应用服务看来千差万别,实质上它们具有一些共同的基本特点:即其基本驱动信号均来自布置于底层的各类传感器,需要有不同的流程对于这些传感信号进行预处理,根据不同应用,流程之间需要有多重复杂的交互,最后才形成具体的应用。当前,它已形成了一门相对独立的学科,称之为“服务计算”。
