西青经济开发区始建于1992年,2010年底经国务院批准升级为国家级经济技术开发区,是享受国家经济特区优惠政策的对外开放区域。“XEDA”是西青经济开发区的英文缩写,音译为赛达。近十几年来,西青经济开发区引资数量和引资密度位居国内开发区前列,截至2008年底,累计引进入驻企业841家,吸引外资70亿美元,实际利用外资累计达到39亿美元。当年实现工业总产值1063亿元人民币,实现地区生产总值211亿元人民币,实现税收收入42亿元人民币,实现出口80亿美元,各项经济指标始终位于天津市区县开发区第一位。
Founded in 1992, Xiqing Economic Development Zone was upgraded to a state-level economic and technological development zone approved by the State Council by the end of 2010 and is an opening-up area enjoying preferential policies for the state special economic zones. “XEDA ” is the abbreviation of Xiqing Economic Development Zone, the transliteration of Saida. In the recent ten years, the number of foreign investment and the density of attracting foreign investment in the foreclosure zone ranked the forefront of the domestic development zones. By the end of 2008, a total of 841 enterprises were relocated, attracting 7 billion U.S. dollars of foreign investment and a total of 3.9 billion U.S. dollars actually utilized. In the same year, the total industrial output value was 106.3 billion yuan, the regional GDP 21.1 billion yuan, the tax revenue 4.2 billion yuan and the export value 8.0 billion U.S. dollars. The economic indicators were always the highest in Tianjin Development Zone.
