Dongil Industries, South Korea, has now purchased a WRP 40BF two-roll bar straightener from SMS Meer to replace the existing straightener. When put into use, the new straightener allows the company to produce bright steel bars with flatness better than 0.35mm / m and surface roughness less than 5μm. The new straightener is installed on the company’s existing KZ-RP IIIB / 25 Schumacher drawing line, which was put into operation in 1989. Dongyi plans to relocate the drawing line to the port city of Pohang and modernize it.
