粤语片《唐伯虎点秋香》里周星迟和巩琍不过是虚构了一个文人逸事,现实中的唐寅其实颓放潦倒,死后还要朋友出资安葬。比起唐寅来,岭南苏六朋(约1791-1862)要幸运得多,他不仅单靠卖画维持生计,还过得不错,生前身后都得意,子孙能以画名于当地,又有爱妾,为当时岭南“画坛双艳”之一的余菱,也擅画巨幅人物,光是这一点,苏六朋在当时恐怕要羡煞多少才子文人了。
