Professor Wang Peigang graduated from Liaoning Medical College (also known as Creek Riverside Medical College), with good English and Japanese skills and solid medical theory. When PLA established the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Medicine in 1951, he came to Shanghai from the Central Institute of Health with Professor Wang Chengfa to form a department of nutrition. Among the followers are Fang Yunzhong, Yang Jun and Su Hongxin, both of whom are the founding members of the Department of Nutrition of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and also the mainstay of the establishment of our military nutrition discipline
