给国家下定义无疑是政治学最困难的任务之一,这种复杂性背后是对国家作用的理解差异。经典的国家理论将国家定义为暴力机器,现代国家只是这种暴力的进一步组织化。随着经济全球化时代的来临,现代国家本身也面临朝治理的转型,使国家日益成为治理的主体,在国家作用的理解上,相应地也应赋予国家更多的治理意涵。
Defining a country is undoubtedly one of the most difficult tasks in political science, and behind this complexity lies the understanding of the role of the state. The classical theory of the state defines the state as a violent machine, and the modern state is simply the further organization of such violence. With the advent of the era of economic globalization, the modern state itself is also facing the transformation toward governance, making the country increasingly the subject of governance. In its understanding of the role of the state, the state should accordingly be given more governance implications.
