特朗普总统接二连三发布行政命令,显然是在兑现其竞选承诺。签发这些一两页纸的命令不费吹灰之力。他的最新命令是禁止来自七个穆斯林为主国家的旅行者入境,这样他就能安抚美国同胞,让他们高枕无忧。兑现关于中国的承诺要复杂一些,可能不是一份乃至三份、十份行政命令所能做到的。懂得经济学基本原则的敏锐观察人士常指出,中美这两个经济体已经变得紧密相连,两个国家犹如一对连体婴儿。
The successive issuance of executive orders by President Trump is clearly in fulfillment of his election promise. The order to issue these one or two pages is effortless. His latest order is to ban travelers from seven Muslim-based countries from entering so he can appease the American compatriots and rest them peace of mind. The promises of honoring China are more complicated than they might be in one or three or ten executive orders. The keen observers who understand the basic principles of economics often point out that the two economies of China and the United States have become closely linked and that the two countries are like a pair of Siamese twins.
