On December 21, 1991, the leaders of the 11 republics of the former Soviet Union signed the declaration of the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Almaty, the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and announced that the Soviet Union had ceased to exist. The three republics of the former Baltic coast, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, have also declared their independence and acceded to the United Nations before that. In this situation, we should attach importance to dealing with the republics of the former Soviet Union and rapidly develop direct economic and trade relations. The author refers to “USA T0DAY” published on October 2, 1991, starting from the aspects of legal protection of the business, living standards, earning foreign exchange, leaders’ attitude towards economic reform, and privatization.
