The distribution of Sumatra and Festa in Yunnan and South Asia is of great importance in the study of the origin, evolution and rice breeding of O. sativa L. Their classification status is often misclassified, thus affecting these types of development and utilization. Studies have shown that Oryza rufipogon is the first Japonica-type inland rice cultivated in wild and subtropical mountain regions of common wild rice in Asia, and then evolved into the common type when it was further directed to high altitude and high latitude Japonica Most of the sickle valleys have been classified as indica so far, and our preliminary studies show that the majority of the valleys are japonica rice, including part of the indica rice. Its origin and its taxonomic status remain to be studied.
