枇杷是长江以南上市最早、颇受人们喜爱的水果。但成熟期过于集中,果肉柔软多汁,不耐运输贮藏。因而,获得早、晚熟的新品种,是枇杷选育种的重要目标之一。我国早熟的枇枇品种很少,且普遍存在味酸、果较小和产量不高等问题,难以在生产上大量推广。引进适合本地区推广种植的优良品种,是迅速提高枇杷产量和品质的有效而快捷的途径之一,台湾省枇杷发展的经验,就是很好的例证。台湾原来的本地枇杷品种,果肉白色而薄、产量低(1949年全省总产量仅
Loquat is listed on the earliest south of the Yangtze River, popular with people’s favorite fruit. But the maturity is too concentrated, soft and juicy flesh, impatient transport and storage. Thus, access to early and late ripe new varieties, loquat breeding is one of the important goals. China’s precocious loquat varieties are few, and the prevalence of pickle acid, fruit smaller and yield is not high and other issues, it is difficult to promote a large number of production.
