之江大桥位于钱塘江强涌潮区域,主桥承台属于深水高桩的大直径圆形承台,在深水高桩、强涌潮区的承台施工中,挡水结构是施工中最重要的临时结构,其施工的优劣直接体现出承台施工的质量。而在此特点的水域使用钢吊箱作为施工的挡水支护,体现出经济性和安全性的特点。在主桥承台施工过程中,使用大直径圆形单壁钢吊箱作为挡水结构,取得了很好的效果,也为强涌潮区的圆形承台施工提供了经验。
