刘克峰文指出:丘成桐最广为人知的工作当属卡拉比猜想和正质量猜想的解决,这些工作毫无疑问会载入科学史册,他为此获得了无数的大奖。可是,作为数学家我们都知道,也如汉密尔顿所言,这只是他那三四百篇文章中的一部分。可以说,从那三四百篇中,随便抽出几篇,都是极为重要的。如著名的斯华资引理的证明,短短五页纸就将许多数学家耗尽心血的研究提升到一般的流形上,举重若轻,可谓数学研究的化境。

However, as a mathematician, we all know that, as Hamilton put it, this is only part of his three or four hundred articles. It can be said that from those three or four hundred articles, it is extremely important to draw a few articles. As evidenced by the famous Schwarzenegger’s justification, the short five-page paper promoted the exhaustive study of many mathematicians to a general manifold, which lays the groundwork for math studies.
