扦插时间最适宜的扦插温度为18-25℃。考虑到居室养花者以赏花为最大乐趣,不必过早剪枝(过早剪枝还可能推迟花期)。当8月下旬我地气温在15～29℃时,即是笔者挑选的最适宜的扦插时间。插条处理选一二年生半木质化枝条,按常规方法切段,要求切口完整无缺。然后取一点维生素B_(12)针剂,加入1倍的水,把插条基部浸泡5分钟,浸泡深度为2～3厘米,稍阴干后扦插。基质选择选用经过高温煅烧的无菌蛭石作基质,其排水保水性能良好。
