19世纪20年代以来,马礼逊、卫三畏、麦都思、罗存德、卢公明等入华新教传教士以及中国士人邝其照相继编纂、出版了多种英汉词典。依时序考察可知,在这些词典中,日后成为新闻专用语的词条及其译名,经历了一个从少到多、从无新闻专业义项到有新闻专业义项、从“格义”到创译的演进过程。此一语言镜像,折射出了新闻的专业自觉从无到有的转化轨迹;语义、概念的古今演绎、中西通约的文化场景,由此亦可见一斑。
Since the 1820s, many English-Chinese dictionaries have been compiled and edited by Morrison, Wei Sanwei, Medhurst, Luo Cunde, Lu Gongming and other Chinese Protestant missionaries and Chinese scholars Guang Kui. According to the time sequence inspection, in these dictionaries, the entries and their translations that have become news language terms in the future have undergone a shift from less to more, from no news professionalism to journalistic professionalism, from " The evolution of translation. The mirror image of the language reflects the transformation path of news professionalism from scratch; the ancient and modern deductions of semantics and concepts, as well as the cultural scenes between China and the West, are also evident.
