水灾害是影响我国长江流域可持续发展的一大“心腹之患”。近期以来,中国科学院院士施雅风先生积极倡导展开“全球变化与长江洪水研究”的地球科学前沿课题。11月13日至26日,年届83岁高龄的施先生率中国科学院南京地理与湖泊研究所的中青年科研骨干一行十人,就这一重大课题的研究部署赴长江中游地区进行第一次科学考察。此次考察旨在向社会各界宣传未来全球变化将对长江洪水形势可能造成的严重影响,着重对长江中游各省的防洪形势以及城市防洪状况进行
Water disasters are one of the “confidants” affecting the sustainable development of the Yangtze River Basin in China. Recently, Mr. Shi Yafeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has actively advocated the launching of the leading issue of geosciences in “Global Change and the Study of the Yangtze Flood”. From November 13 to November 26, the 83-year-old Shi Shixian led a delegation of 10 young and middle-aged scientific researchers from the Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences to conduct the first deployment of this major issue to the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Scientific investigation. The purpose of this visit is to educate all sectors of society that the future global changes will have a grave impact on the flood situation in the Yangtze River and focus on the flood control situation in various provinces in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the urban flood control situation
