到过南疆的人,如果不亲历一下当地的巴扎会感到十分遗憾,如同“不到喀什不算到新疆”一样。新疆维吾尔语称集市为“巴扎”。南疆即天山以南喀什、和田、阿克苏等地区,是维吾尔族人最集中的地区之一,这里遍布着近千个巴扎。巴扎是南疆维吾尔族人民情有独钟的去处,当地的朋友说,巴扎是南疆人一座淘不尽的金山,没钱花了去巴扎,没有生活用品去巴扎,逢到喜事逛巴扎,心情烦了去巴扎……巴扎成了一种寄托,维族人用巴扎组织起来的生活丰富多彩、富有魅力。
