用“截干蓄枝”法培育榕桩盆景,经常要截掉枝干。截下的废枝有的收尾自然,有的侧枝四向散射,略加修剪就得一棵小树。能否变废为宝,用废枝育出桩材? 笔者这盆榕桩是用废弃的枝干培育而成的。1996年春末截一榕桩顶枝,截口枝径3厘米,两侧互生枝径约1厘米的侧枝,剪后取之嫌小,弃之可惜。思前想后还是种在一个花盆里。第三年入夏定托移植,第四年根部出现薯块,七年培育共剪三刀。成型桩高17厘米,四托一顶。2003年3月剪后摄下照片。今后培育重点是促使顶冠丰满。自培自育桩材是保护自然生态环境的需要,是解决桩材来源的主渠道。用榕枝扦插育苗,成活率高。劝君善待废榕枝。
