在 21世纪即将到来的前夕，全国总工会召开了第十三届三次执委会。中共中央政治局常委、国家副主席胡锦涛，中共中央政治局常委、全国总工会副主席尉健行到会并发表了重要讲话。全国总工会副主席、书记处第一书记张俊九会上对去年工作进行了总结，并对今年的工作进行了部署。会议讨论通过了“全国总工会深入学习贯彻党的十五届五中全会精神的意见”。现将胡锦涛、尉健行、张俊九等领导同志的讲话摘要刊登，供各级工会宣教部门学习贯彻，标题是编者加的。
On the eve of the 21st century, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions held the thirteenth executive committee. Hu Jintao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the State Council, Wei Jianxing, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. At the meeting, Zhang Junjiu, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and first secretary of the Secretariat, made a summary of his work last year and arranged for this year’s work. The meeting discussed and approved the Opinions of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions on Further Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 15th CPC Central Committee. The speeches of Hu Jintao, Wei Jianxing and Zhang Junjiu and other leading comrades are now being published in a summary for the study and implementation of the propaganda and education departments at all levels, with the title added by editors.
