The 4th US Symposium on Optical Interference Film was held in Tucson, Arizona on April 12-15, 1988. It is sponsored by the American Optical Society, the American Vacuum Association, Association of Photographic and Optical Instrumentation and Vacuum Coating Machine Society to attend. Conference chairman A. JThelen, program board chairman H. Macleod, has 14 members. Hundreds of people from about 20 countries including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, West Germany, China, Japan attended the meeting. The program committee organized 16 invited reports, received 103 submitted reports and 7 late reports reported a total of 126 articles.
