“和谐”无疑正在成为中国社会谈论得越来越多的话题,并将成为未来中国社会发展的最强音。然而,城市民族工作却面临一个日益加剧的难题:数量不断扩大的城市少数民族流动人口中,由于其特有的民族文化、生活习俗、心理素质等,极易因为城市社会对其不理解而激发社会的不和谐现象。这成为市场经济环境下绕不过的历史难题。沈阳市现有少数民族人口72.9万,少数民族人口数量及其所占比例均位居全国大城市的前列。沈阳市民委清醒地意识到:没有任何力量能挡住市场经济条件下各民族在社会各个层面越来越广泛与深刻的交融。为此,他们积极分析和研究城市民族工作部门的应对策略,并探索出了自己独具特色的城市“和谐之路”。
