Due to the very low content of ~ (237) Np and the technical difficulties of the analysis, information on the environmental ~ (237) NP has hardly been reported in the literature. This article discusses neutron activation analysis of soil samples with low levels of ~ (237) Np. Prepare 2 to 300 g of soiled soil sample in a reflux flask twice with 50 to 80 ml concentrated HCl + concentrated HNO3 (1: 1). The sample was added with ~ (239) Np tracer. The leachate was suction filtered, and the filtrate and washings were combined.
