贵阳市黔灵乡是我省地方性甲状腺肿(以下简称地甲肿)的非病区,我们于1979年、1981年、1985年分别三次作了流行病学调查并对部份人群进行了碘代谢、垂体—甲状腺系统功能以及外环境饮水含碘量的测定;目的是通过对该病区的长期动态观察,期予了解我省非病区甲肿率的消长变化情况并为全省地甲肿各病区提供对照资料,同时也为认识和掌握全省地甲肿流行规律以及我省散发性甲状腺肿的研究提供科学依据。
