《最后的武士》是由美国和日本合拍的一部电影。讲述的是经历过南北战争和屠杀印第安人战争的美军上尉纳森·欧格仁,来到日本为明治政府训练新式军队以镇压传统武士的背叛,于是他与日本武士直面相遇。欧格仁在战争中被俘后与日本武士集团的相处中,他爱上了武士文化。然而,武士对于传统的固守,与明治政府雄心勃勃的现代化改革之间爆发了激烈的冲突。冲突的结果是传统与现代的一场决战,已经深深着迷于武士道的纳森·欧格仁选择为武士而战。
The Last Samurai is a movie co-produced by the United States and Japan. Tells the story of Nathan Oggren, the captain of the U.S. military who had experienced the Civil War and the Massacre of Indian Massacre, came to Japan to betray the traditional military warriors by training the new army for the Meiji government and confronted him with Japanese warriors. Ogren fell in love with the samurai culture in his relationship with the Japanese warrior group after being captured in the war.
