Surrounded by the Taklamakan Desert in southern Xinjiang, surrounded by the Kashgar region of Xinjiang, the Hetian region, the Aksu region and the Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Region, tens of thousands of oases, large and small, form like a giant green garland.
