广东歌舞剧院的编导借着富有浓郁地方特色的童谣编排了小型的舞蹈诗片段——《落雨大》,舞蹈主要以广州地区的民间舞蹈为主,通过让舞蹈演员穿着特制的木屐,在舞台上场景里表现了人们走在街道上,在大雨来临前、雨中和雨后嬉戏的画面情节,“木屐舞”的运用,一方面它突出了舞蹈的地方特色、地域文化的特点;另一方面它也起了一种催化作用。在广东地区民间舞蹈的众多种类里,木屐舞的历史并不算是最悠久的,但它清脆的节奏、浓郁岭南地方特色的片段及朗朗上口的歌谣,给人们留下了深刻的印象。
